This paper reports the effects of several polyfunctional monomers on radiation vulcanization of ethylene-propylene rubber and ethylene-butylene rubber. Results show that triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) is the most efficient to radiation vulcanization of ethylene-propylene rubber. TEGDMA not only lowers the vulcanization dose (Dv)
but also increases the tensile strength greatly. However
the effect of polyfunctional monomers on radiation vulcanization of ethylene-butylene rubber is less pronounced.
