A stripper holder with 60 foils has been designed and has been used in the beam line of HIRFL. The vacuum in the cavity is better than 13.3 µPa

and carbon foils can withstand a high positive voltage up to 150 kV. The gears in the planetary system can be driven smoothly with no shock. The deviation between the central axes of the foils and the beam line is within 1 mm. Basically the stripper has met the requirement both in physical and in mechanical designs.
