a novel bipolar fast high-voltage pulse source is proposed.Consisting of two interleaved boost converters
it operates in discontinuous mode(DCM).By charging parasitic capacitance of the switches
short rise-time of the output pulse can be obtained.The constant filtered voltage discharges the load and forms flat top of the output voltage.A mutual reactor is introduced to realize soft switch-on.The operation mechanism is analyzed.The simulation and experimental results are given.
