采用Geant4软件包和同位素放射源

通过蒙卡模拟和实验

对包裹光反射膜的ST401塑料闪烁探测器光收集效率进行了研究

比较了光反射膜对柱体和锥体两种形状闪烁体的影响。结果表明

对于柱形闪烁体

铝箔光反射膜可使光收集效率提高2.72和1.99倍;对于锥形闪烁体

分别提高4.57和2.45倍。外包光反射膜对于锥体形状的闪烁体光收集效率的提升更为明显

且随锥体形状而异

据此可实现对锥体形状的优化选择。

The photon collecting efficiency of cylinder and cone type ST401 plastic scintillators wrapped with film reflector was simulated with the Geant4 code

and measurement of the detector output current were performed with a collimated

Co 7-ray source.For cylinder scintillator

the simulation and measurements show that aluminum foil improved the photon collection efficiency by a factor of 2.72 and 1.99

respectively

while for cone scintillator the improvement were 4.57 and 2.45

respectively.The reflecting films have better effect for cone scintillators

and an optimized cone shape was obtained.
