In this paper

we report an improved measurement method with a fast gas-filling multi-wire proportional counter.It needs shorter preparation time

with much lower working gas consumption rate than that of a flow-gas multi-wire proportional counter.In this way

it is a perfect low cost instrument for any sample measurement application ofαandβparticles with high detect efficiency

good count-rate linearity and practical results.
