142La is an important radionuclide to determine the burn-up of nuclear fuel
but its half-life differs mark- edly in references. With mass relay method by well type high purity germanium detector and continuous trace method by coaxial high purity germanium detector
we determined that the half-life of 142La is (90.78±0.16) min.
