Multisphere neutron spectrometer is widely used for measuring neutron spectrum duo to its advantages of functional simplicity

wide energy domain

isotropic response and high sensitivity.In this work

the response function of multisphere neutron spectrometer was simulated by using the MCNP code

and the results agree well with those obtained by Vega-Carrillo et al.Meanwhile

response results of the multisphere spectrometer we designed referring to existing systems and practical requirements are discussed with different reaction channels and the S(α

β) scattering treatment.Thus

the response characteristics of the BSS are obtained under different boundary conditions.
