    • Simulation analysis of fast electron response of ZnS(Ag) scintillator in EAST

    • 快电子损失行为在托卡马克装置中的研究取得了重要进展。在先进实验超导托卡马克(EAST)上,科研人员利用基于ZnS(Ag)闪烁体探头的诊断系统,成功探测了快电子的损失情况。为了深入理解其损失特性,研究团队还运用Geant4模拟程序,模拟了不同初始状态的电子与闪烁体探头的相互作用,并获得了闪烁体发光强度与入射电子初始状态的曲线关系。模拟结果揭示了次级电子与初始电子在发光贡献上的不同主导能量区间,同时指出发光强度随入射电子能量增大而先增大后减小,峰值在12 MeV附近。研究还发现,斜入射时的发光光子数大于垂直入射,而闪烁体厚度对峰值位置无明显影响。值得一提的是,加入磁场后,磁场角度和电子俯仰角对发光强度产生显著影响。这些发现为理解EAST实验中闪烁体探头上探测到的快电子损失信号提供了重要依据,并为进一步研究快电子损失机制奠定了坚实基础。
